How I Work
My job is to make your job easier by taking writing projects off your hands and assuming responsibility for them — saving you time and worry. Basically, here's how it works:
This process enables me to adapt to each client’s needs and preferences. For example:
- I do background research to understand the context of the project
- We have a brief meeting or phone call, to which I come (as an expert interviewer) prepared with questions, and my voice recorder, to gather essential information and identify what you want
- Once we're on the same page, I leave you to your job while I do mine, using my project management skills to take the assignment from abstraction to finished product on schedule
This process enables me to adapt to each client’s needs and preferences. For example:
- Have a mostly-finished draft that just needs proofreading and maybe a little strategic editing? As an outsider with a fresh perspective, I can often see what company staff writers overlooked or looked right through because they’re too close to the project or subject.
- Have you started a project, but it's not working out so well? No problem — I'm ready to take projects on from whatever stage and shape they happen to be in. I can even work with you to create an action plan for the project.
- Are you and/or your staff too busy to write? I've got the talent and I take the time to clearly convey your company's identity, benefits and values. I'll see your project through, from start to finish, so you and your staff can focus on what you need to get done.
